I appraise drawing as a means to ponder our surroundings. Through the study of details related
to light, shadow, space, form, and emotion, the practice of drawing helps to render these
elements to their most essential constructs, whether the subject be the light reflected off of
a glass of water or the study of human hands in motion. The following is a compilation of drawing
studies completed during several months spent around Vicenza, with a focus on understanding the
elegance of a rich history in architectural form.
